"Thanks mostly to Covid-19 and one man, Larry Hodes, Birdhaven is turning into one of Johannesburg's good food areas." - Marie-Lais Emond, Daily Maverick, 16 July 2021
I had the privilege to spend time photographing these restaurants - The Gourmet Grocer, Arbour Café & Courtyard, Coffefe, Lucky Peach House of Ramen, The Dark Kitchen & Bagel Burger - even better, I got to taste the wares! From a mouth-watering chocolate croissant to a bowl of Japanese ramen noodles - the choice was endless and it was delicious!
